Haaf Netting on the River Nith. - 23rd September, 2010

Haaf netting is one of the most ancient forms of salmon fishing practiced in our modern age. Recently I spent a few weeks photographing a group of fishermen on the river Nith, in south west Scotland. This is to be part of a book, that will document hidden professions and ways of life that will not be with us for much longer.
